End of the school year

We've packed a lot in to these last two weeks of school.  We have two extra boys here from France.  After Clive made slime at a birthday party we just had to make some at home.  Five little boys and slime in my laundry room..they're only this young once!

It's been a time to get creative for teachers gifts.  This was the cover of the music teacher's card.  Parents  have come together to buy gift certificates for these wonderful teachers who have done so much for my boys this year.  We love Ecole Mill Bay and we love Courtney, our music teacher.  They have made education fun for Clive and David and both boys are already looking forward to next year.

And during all the chaos another room has been created in our house.  There is so much excitement about who will "get" this room.  A new bathroom beside it too!
Pictures to come of the beautiful transitions happening outside.  I didn't know the lilac trees could look so good!  The french boys mum loves working in the yard (garden) and has done enough trimming to transform the look and feel of the back garden.

Music Recital

Marc took all three boys to the music recital.  E. was out doing pedicures.
They all did very well.
This is the second year I've missed and WILL NOT miss next year.  Clive loves fiddle and will continue and David has said he would like to continue piano.  I think this has a lot to do with their teacher, Courtney.  It is clear she loves teaching and playing music.

The grand finale was fiddle group.  They will be playing another summer fair this Saturday.  I LOVE this!

Boat trip

Marc and the boys went for a boat trip last weekend.  They took my phone too.

The weather cooperated and they had a great time. P got them in the water by being the first to dive in.

Elizabeth stayed home to feed all the hungry animals and get the carrot seeds in the ground.

Weeds n' fur

It's business as usual around here.  The boys "cleaned" the kitchen floor to try to earn some money for their piggy banks.

Our wwoofer put in all this "underground" watering.  Zuke decided it should be above ground only where I have planted beans.

Mowing is almost non stop at this time of year.

Everything is growing.  Mostly the weeds unfortunately.  Plenty of work for wwoofers.

Clive read to the boys at bedtime for a couple of nights which was very sweet...until he read them the monster book.  They were all scared.  Back to Winnie the Pooh.

Here is my Wednesday threesome that will end at the end of this month.

Molly fitting in very well, being a proper farm cat sleeping in "tire" form on Matthew's bed.

She isn't spoiled, but the wwoofer built her this scratching post.  It looks like it needs more cats.

All of this rain has allowed for more artwork to hit the art wall.  Soon I will need to move the map.  This map has been so handy though!

Snuggles in the morning.  There is a little Molly in there too.

Baby Girl

The week started out the same as usual.

I made a "treat" of Pavlova.

It was more like a cardboard pancake with whipping cream.  However, it was a lot of fun and it all got eaten.

Matthew came in and wanted to check on the chicks.  This is what I found.

Then, on Thursday I made a trip out to the SPCA.  They just happened to have kittens.

Here is my new baby girl.  Her name is Molly.  We hope nobody will be allergic to her.
She is very affectionate, even Zuke likes her!
All is right in the world.
