Going home

We made it back to Puerto Vallarta, returned the car and booked in to a nice hotel near the airport.  We went out for dinner and Matthew ordered octopus.  Unfortunately this one was tough as nails.

Made up for the octopus at the frozen yogurt shop.

Then we headed home to our flooded basement.

Day trip to Barra de Navidad

A boat tour for one hour for $60.00.  Perfect.

What happened to the tanker in the last hurricane.  It fits in there so nicely.  I don't imagine it will be moved anytime soon.

The famous fish.

                                                          Restaurant cat shenanigans.
"I'm just a sweet little thing"
"Mmmm, what've you got there?"

"Tell me you ARE going to share?!"

Cuastecomates

Here we are in little Cuastecomates.  A beautiful little bay near Melaque, so calm.
A little sailboat from Canada!

A dead puffer fish.  David thought it was a pear.

The little town.  Most of it is this resort we stayed in.

The kids were thrilled they could eat and drink as much as they wanted.  Not such a good deal for the hotel.  Matthew became a regular at the dessert bar.

Our king size bed.  Brand new.  Brand new suite.

The boys just around the corner.

Just LOVE this.

The ocean is warmer than the pool.

One of our many meals in the dining room.

Santiago, Colima, Mexico

We walked in to town to find the "Mercado".

On the way we picked up ice-cream, the BEST.

We went to Cafe BEAN and had american food.  It was just like home in there which was a little bit weird.  We had real coffees though, bliss.

The boys had crepes with Nutella and bananas.  Way too much Nutella, Matthew couldn't finish his.

Upon our return we picked up our fresh laundry for 300 pesos.  Perhaps about $25 CAN.  Some items were ruined with black stuff, some socks missing, just like at home!
This is La Audiencia.  An all inclusive resort that we crashed for a day.  Just around the bend from our casita but very protected, gentle surf.

The boys were in the ocean all day.  This was a great snorkelling spot.

Matthew staying warm in the sand just like the stray dogs.

This road was quite steep and very long.  It goes out the peninsula to La Audienca.  One of our more pretty drives.

A very tired amigo at the end of a long day.  Loves his 50 peso BB gun.
